Ten days ago I received a bouquet of flowers for the first time in my life.
They have since withered and dried, but I think them no less beautiful.
Just because something is not as it was, does not mean it has lost its value.
I’m celebrating a year and a half with my lover, and though during our time together I’ve been stretched, cut, bruised, and broken, he loves me always.
I am learning to relax into life and be easy on my ever-changing beauty.
With much love and admiration, resi-lience
It’s been a dream of mine to take a bath that is full of flower petals. There’s something so poetic and beautiful about the softness of them and how they stick to your skin in the water. I’m happy to see you appreciating your flowers even after they’ve died. I’ve always dried mine whenever I’ve gotten bouquets and tried to keep them for as long as possible. The slices of orange in your bath are a really nice touch, especially the one placed upon your nipple. I bet your bathtub and you smelled beautiful afterwards.
